The Department of Mechanical and Management Engineering picks up the greatest part of the scientific competences within the Mechanical engineering and the Management engineering.
Mission of the department is pursue the excellence in the research, also through interdisciplinary synergies and collaborations with other national and international institutions, sustaining the high formation and the development of the territory.
The Department is divided in the followings sections.
Section "Fluid Machinery and Energy Systems" Predominant activities interest the fluid dynamic analysis both theoretical and experimental, with particular reference to the operation of the fluid (what pressers, whirlwind, hydraulic machines, combustion motors it interns, systems oleodinamici) cars and the fluid dynamic optimization (with particular reference to wing profiles, teams palari and post industrial burners for combined thermal fittings). Other remarkable activities concern the energetic analysis, in whose aspired they are object of study both theoretical and experimental, thematic what the performances of the thermal and hydraulic cars, the systems oleodinamici and pneumatic, the ceolian machines, the control and the environmental impact of the energetic systems, the energetic saving, the thermo fluid dynamic measures, centered on the analysis and characterization of the sensors and the chains of measure for mechanical greatness, thermal and fluid dynamics, to the purpose of a correct evaluation of the uncertainties of measure.
Section "Mechanical Design" The section essentially deals with functional planning of the machines and the mechanical systems, of problem list of automation and industrial robotics, of piece of furniture robot, of the theoretical and experimental study of systems of transmission of the motion, of analysis of the vibrations of the mechanical (also in the environments of job) systems, of criterions of monitoring and diagnostic of the machines with the aid of the vibrations, of biomechanics, of techniques of calculation of the MSA (Multibody System Analisys) and dynamic FEM, of mechanics of the conventional and innovative materials, of structural analysis in elasto-plastic field, under static conditions and of work, with numerical and experimental techniques, of solid construction of models for the planning, of CAD, of techniques of artificial intelligence to benefit of the planning.
Section "Manufacturing, Industrial Systems, and Economics" As it regards the area of the technologies and the systems of workmanship the principal activities concern the study of the interrelations among material, processes of treatment and workmanships, the planning and optimization of conventional productive technologies and not conventional with analytical techniques, numerical and of artificial intelligence, the integration CAD / CAM through rapid prototiping, the reverse engineering, the automatic planning of trials, the planning of numerical control machines, the study of "Quality" systems. In the plant area is developed activity within the analysis of the systems of production, of the integration man-machine (with particular attention to the reliability of the man) and of the environmental problem list of the industrial fittings and the systems of management of the urban solid refusals. In the area of the economic-managerial engineering the thematic ones are analyzed related to the systems of enterprises (also to territorial base), to the chains client-suppliers, to the organization of the enterprise, to the management of the projects, to the management of the innovation, to the management of the knowledge, to the management of the human resources. Specific circles of analysis concern the sectors of the constructions, manufacturing and of the services. |
