bio:

Michele Gorgoglione is Associate Professor of “Marketing and e-business models” at the College of Engineering of the Politecnico di Bari. He earned a PhD degree in Management at the University of “Roma - Tor Vergata”. He graduated in Electronic Engineering. 

He currently does research on personalization technologies and customer relationship management. This research has been done in collaboration with researchers at the New York University - Stern Business School (New York, USA), the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School (Philadelphia, USA) - USA, the ESCEM School of Business and Management (Poitiers, France). 

He is member of AiIG (Associazione italiana Ingegneria Gestionale) in the auditing panel. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the PhD program in Business and Mechanical Engineering. He is currently the Coordinator of the Master Degree in Business Engineering (Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale) at the Politecnico di Bari. He was responsible for the marketing activities of the Politecnico di Bari (on the Dean’s authority) and Erasmus coordinator for the Politecnico di Bari. 

He is author of many papers published on international scientific journals including Information System Research (ISR), IEEE Trans. on Knowledge & Data Engineering, User Modeling and User-Adapted Interaction (UMUAI), Electronic Commerce Research, Expert Systems with Applications, Int. J. of Bank Marketing. 

He is regularly member of the program committees of scientific international conferences, ACM RecSys and EC-Web, and collaborates to the organization of other conferences. He is reviewer for several international journals, such as ACM Trans. on Interactive Intelligent Systems, IEEE System Journal, California Management Review.
